The Fogelberg Performing Arts Center at Burlington High School is poised for what The New York Post has described as the “funniest farce ever written,” with the performances of Michael Frayn’s “Noises Off” on December 2 and 3 at 7:30 pm.
“Noises Off” follows a traveling acting company’s struggles to prepare and perform a bedroom farce called “Nothing On.” The romantic entanglements, general cluelessness, and bad habits of the cast and crew create a catastrophic production of the play-within-a-play, which in turn provides for a hilarious experience for the audience of “Noises Off.”
Noted for its strong ensemble of comedic players, the Burlington cast includes Danielle Schissler as Dotty Otley, Zaven Ovian as Lloyd Dallas, Anthony Cruz as Garry Lejeune, Katrina Gilstrap as Brooke Ashton, Chris Coe as Frederick Fellowes, Giovanna Fernandes as Belinda Blair, Michelle Lee as Poppy Norton-Taylor, Jeff Manni as Tim Allgood, and Walker Peterson as Selsdon Mowbray.
Reserved seating can be purchased by visiting www.burlingtontickets.org or by calling 781-A-FUN-TIC. Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens.
