Free Books!

In order to clear out some Literati Overstock, we will be placing some free books under the Lally’s Literati sign in the English hallway. Check here for descriptions, and if you are taking something, please select only one title. Spread the knowledge!

First come, first served for copies of:

The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath – the semi-autobiographical story of a young woman who is starting to come apart at the seams.

Holes by Louis Sachar – the Young Adult novel about a dystopian future where kids are forced to dig holes with no apparent logical reason

David Copperfield by Charles Dickens – For the Dickensian scholar only! This novel weighs in at over 800 pages, but if you like the pacing and characterization of A Tale of Two Cities or Great Expectations, then grab this one too!

The Lost Boy by Dave Pelzer – this is the follow-up to Pelzer’s non-fiction best-seller, A Child Called “It”

1984 by George Orwell – Dystopian fiction at its finest, Orwell examines a society that has become overrun by the government, and one couple’s attempt to stand up to the system.

Stay tuned for more.
