World Book Night is Coming Back to BHS

Great news, readers – for the third-straight year, BHS will be participating in World Book Night – an international event where people distribute free copies of excellent literature.

This year, four BHS English teachers were selected as book distributors, which means that on April 23rd, we will be giving away 20 copies of each of the following titles:

After the Funeral by Agatha Christie (mystery)
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Steven Chbosky (young adult)
This Boy’s Life by Tobias Wolff (memoir)
Wait Till Next Year by Doris Kearns Goodwin (memoir)

Between World Book Night, the free book table in the English hallway, and Lally’s Literati, we conservatively estimate that we will have given away over 150 books for free this year. Reading is power!

Special thanks to Mrs. Bernard, Ms. Bularzik, Mr. Lally, and Ms. Stuart for signing up to be our book donors this year!

And otherwise, stay tuned for descriptions of these titles and sneak previews of our 2014 World Book Night festivities as we approach the distribution date!
