The SAT is changing – See how!

The College Board recently announced that they will be changing the format of their test. A full list of their changes can be found here, but regarding the English component of the test, students will now find the vocabulary to be more in line with higher-level vocabulary that actually gets used in the workplace (goodbye, “overweening”), students will have to support their answers with evidence from the text that they have just read, and there will be an optional analytical essay.

It appears that the new SAT will function similarly to the PARCC exam, which BHS is piloting next week.
