World Book Night USA – R.I.P. 2012-2014???

Sad news to tell as the American branch of World Book Night, the nationwide event where people volunteer to distribute books for free, has come to what is at least a temporary close, due to funding. BHS had participated in WBN in each of its three years, and our festivities included a book scavenger hunt, a detective quest, a scavenger hunt, a Twitter contest, and teacher-selected recipients. In three years, 180 World Book Night books went out to BHS students and staff. We are saddened to see the end of this fine program.
