September 8th is International Literacy Day

Today, September 8th, is International Literacy Day, a day that brings awareness to international illiteracy, and celebrates the importance of books in our everyday lives. To help celebrate, the Well-Read Devils, a program to BHS to promote reading and distributing books, will be putting free books out on the table in the middle of the English hallway.

Students who sign up to be a part of the Well-Read Devils receive custom-selected novels based on the literary interests that the provide. The English Department pays up to $5 per book, which means that most of the time, the students receive books for free. If they wish to contribute the rest of the purchase cost, they may, but there is never any obligation.

If you are interested in becoming one of the Well-Read Devils, SIGN UP HERE.
