Poetry on the T Contest
DEADLINE: February 24
As a part of the “Poetry on the T” series, created by MassPoetry to make poetry more visible to the public by printing poems and posting them in subway cars in Boston, MassPoetry is holding a contest for high school and middle school students in Massachusetts, the winner of which will see his or her poem included in this program – YOUR WORK COULD BE ON THE T IN BOSTON! Collab’s Final Thoughts Contest
DEADLINE: January 26
This contest is open to writing of all styles, and is available only to BHS seniors. The winner gets $40 in iTunes gift cards, and will be published in the 2015 edition of Collab, the award-winning BHS literary magazine.
NCTE Achievement Awards in Writing for H.S. Juniors
DEADLINE: BHS Deadline: Feb 7, Contest Deadline: February 13
BHS can submit up to THREE pieces of writing from any current junior for consideration in this contest run by the National Council of Teachers of English. Submissions can be in any genre, but must not exceed six typed, double-spaced pages. For more information, click on the link above, or see the flyers in the English hallway. The NCTE asks for all submissions by Feb 13, and to give us time to read & select our top three, we ask that you submit your work to us by Feb 7. To submit, bring your work to Mr. Lally.
The Marble Collection
