Need help in your English class this year?
The English department offers a reading/writing lab that you can access for extra help with either reading or writing. The teachers staffing the lab are happy to work with you whether you are struggling in English, already earning A’s, or just curious about the resources available there. The lab is open during periods 2, 6, and 7, so if you have a study hall during one of those periods, you should definitely take advantage of it. Simply ask your English teacher for a pass from your study hall to the lab.
Boston Magazine has recently come out with its list of the top public school systems in Massachusetts, and Burlington broke back into the top 40 – we were ranked the #39 school system in the state. This marks a return to the top 40 after a two-year absence, and it nearly matches our all-time best ranking of #37, which we earned in 2011.
The return to the top 40 is surely the result of the hard work of the students and the teachers in the Burlington public schools. Great job! Go Devils!
Just a reminder that all students need to read ONE of our summer reading options before the first week of the school year. This year, we are providing 5-6 options for each grade. The titles we’ve chosen and the assignments for each grade can be found on our webpage by clicking HERE.
