The BHS English Department will once again run a field trip to New York City to see a Broadway production of the 2015 Tony Award winning play, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. This play is an adaptation of one of the summer reading options for sophomores, who have to read a mystery in advance of their sophomore year.
The cost of the field trip is $120, with either a check made out to BHS English Department (preferred) or cash. The cost is slightly less than we had to ask of students last year, although the seats are nearly identical. Last year, we brought over 90 students to New York and in a brief survey, 100% of respondents would recommend this field trip. We had a great time, and we’re excited to be able to bring students to see such a memorable, high-quality production for the second-straight year.
The field trip is open to all sophomores (even if the sophomore teacher is not chaperoning the trip), and the seats will be given out on a first-come-first-served basis once we receive payment and a completed permission slip. If we run only one bus, we will be able to accommodate approximately 50 students, if the demand requires a second bus, we can take up to 95. The second bus will only be able to run once we have 64 students who have paid.
If you have any questions, please email Mr. Lally at email@example.com – common questions will also have answers added to this post.
