Exciting Events in the English Department

Here’s a rundown of some amazing events and activities going on in the English Department …
The Film Club is teaming up with the Multicultural Club to show  My Name is Khan next Tuesday, April 12th at 6:30 in the science lecture hall. Admission is FREE and all are welcome.
Tuesday April 12 is also the deadline for the RhymeZone Sonnet contest. The theme is Community, and it is open to any writer aged 18 or older. The prizes add up to $5000.
Poetic Ramblings and The Devils’ Playlist are teaming up to host the Slam Jam Open Mic Night on Thursday, April 14th at 7:00 in the auditorium. We are still looking for student and faculty performers, and all are welcome to participate. Here’s the registration form if you are interested in reciting a poem or performing a song. We are charging $5.00 for admission. The money will go towards funding the English Department scholarships.
The annual Out of Print Clothing fundraiser for Collab will take place in the weeks immediately after April Vacation, when the magazine will begin its pre-sales. The magazine is nearly ready to go to the printers.
We hope you’re able to participate in these events!
