Journalism I introduces students to the fundamentals of newspaper writing. Students will learn the elements of news, feature, editorial and sports writing. During the second half of the year, students will also learn the basics of newspaper layout and photography as well as the business aspects of newspaper production: advertising and production. Journalism I students may receive level 4 credit by joining the extra-curricular Devil’s Advocate, attending after school meetings and completing additional assignments.
